Clay Harvey, of West Salem, was awarded All-Ohio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Harvey plays football at the University of Mount Union. These student-athletes are recognized as achieving varsity status and holding at least a 3.500 cumulative grade point average during the current academic year.

Naomi Pokrzywa, of Ashland, was awarded All-Ohio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Pokrzywa is part of the Women’s Track and Field Team at the University of Mount Union. These student-athletes are recognized as achieving varsity status and holding at least a 3.500 cumulative grade point average during the current academic year.
Each year, the convocation honors graduating seniors and underclass students who have excelled academically, displayed excellent leadership skills and shown dedication to the University and community through outstanding community service initiatives.

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff, administrators, and students. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee’s level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award.
