I Never Liked Tunafish Growing Up But Scout Canning Has Me Hooked

Developing up, I was never the biggest fan of tuna fish. There was some thing about the texture and odor of the mayo-infused tuna my mom manufactured that just did not do it for me (sorry, Mom!). I was also a vegetarian for a period of time whilst I was younger, so it wasn’t until adulthood that I made the decision to give tuna a prospect. Much more and much more sustainably caught tinned fish brand names are filling up the grocery aisles (and our Instagram feeds) — and in connoisseur flavors, to boot — which unquestionably piqued my interest. And as a non-public chef, I genuinely desired to see (er, flavor) what all the hype was about. But it happened in a totally unplanned way.

When browsing a specialty grocer in Austin, Texas, a canned fish manufacturer named Scout caught my eye (the amazing packaging unquestionably helped it stand out), so I made a decision it was time to dive into tuna fish as soon as and for all.
