Navya Hissaria, who has become the Rajasthan topper after scoring 100 percentile in JEE Main 2022, said Monday he continued with his preparations, studying for more than 10 hours a day and relying on online learning, even during the coronavirus pandemic.

“In Physics, when I studied theory, I tried to understand every bit that I read. This helped me in the JEE Mains. In the past one-one and half years while studying for JEE Mains, I worked with a theoretical approach I never felt that I am weak in any formula or concept,” said Hissaria, whose family lives in Nohar in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district.

“I had worked on all of my weak areas and prior to the examination, I was confident. I have never been distracted from the course. I knew that JEE is a tough examination and that is why I never got distracted because I knew the level of preparation that was required,” said Hissaria.

Hissaria, 17, had prepared for the JEE Main from ALLEN Career Institute in Sikar district and is a student of a private school in Nohar.

While the results of the Class 12 examination are yet to be announced, Hissaria secured 98 per cent in his Class 10 exams, said his father Rakesh Hissaria, who owns a dairy business in Nohar.

“My son’s result didn’t come as a surprise because after seeing his performance in mock tests, we were confident that he will secure very good marks in the examination,” said Rakesh Hissaria, a father of two sons.

While Hissaria hopes to repeat his performance in JEE Advanced, he said that he wants to study Computer Science at IIT Bombay.
