Prosper culinary fundraiser set to profit Cuyahoga County Public Library

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County General public Library’s culinary fundraiser Flourish is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 26.

The party, backed by culinary literacy ambassador chef Rocco Whalen of Fahrenheit, raises hundreds of bucks for essential library systems, one thing the cafe proprietor suggests is a priority for him.

This year, he’s bringing in Matt Mytro, chef and partner at Flour in Moreland Hills, to support. Mytro will craft a charcuterie board although Whalen will do a chicken piccata dish.

“It’s a combo, east meets west,” Whalen said, referring to the spots of the two restaurants. “It brings a lot more to the table.” Fahrenheit is in Cleveland’s Tremont community.

The party, which encourages youth-literacy applications, will enrich cookbook lessons and assistance reserve carts and Wi-Fi alerts, he stated.
